* Tuesdays and Thursdays late appointments can be made with doctors or Sr. Burrows. Wednesdays late appointments are with the Sr Jane Harness (Nurse Practitioner) only.
Nurses also see patients by appointment only. Clinics are arranged for every morning and afternoon each week. The clinic times vary as our nurses also see patients for lots of different reasons including management of chronic conditions, smears and vaccinations. For urgent appointments outside our normal surgery hours, please call 111 for healthcare advice or you will be directed to the most appropriate and available local service.
You should use 111:
Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
The practice Dispensary is on the right as you come into the practice and is open morning and afternoon each week day. If you live more than one mile from a Pharmacy, we can dispense your medication for you at the practice.
Occasionally we have staffing shortages and have to close the dispensary over lunchtime. Once a month the whole surgery is closed 2-4pm for staff training. When dispensary is closed we will put a message on this website, but feel welcome to phone ahead if you want to double check before travelling in specifically for dispensary services.
St George's consultation rooms are all ground floor and are accessible. There is a ramp and wide automatic sliding doors to allow for wheelchair access.
A wheelchair is available for use at the surgery; please ask at reception if this is needed.
There is no hearing loop.
We are able to arrange sign language interpreters for deaf and hearing impaired patients, and happy to work with speech-to-text services.
Information can be provided in different formats and languages if required.
We are very keen that St George's is accessible to everyone, and we are happy to consider requests to make reasonable adjustments.
If you have a particular communication need, or any other accessibility requirement, please ask at reception or contact the practice management team, and we'll do our best to help.
We'd also like to hear from you if you have comments about the accessibility of our website or any other accessibility aspects of St George's.
